EGMC is a generous congregation. Most of our giving is done during the worship service as a part of the traditional weekly offering, as well as through annual and bi-annual fundraisers for youth programming and other activities.

For donors that need receipts for tax purposes, we use an envelope system with assigned numbers for anonymity and an annual receipt with all giving included.

Donations to the General Fund are disbursed according to our annual budget which is prepared by the Finance Team and the Stewardship Ministry and approved by the Spiritual Leadership Council and congregation. The budget supports our staff (approximately 50%), internal ministries (~30%), Christian education (~10%) and local, national and global nonprofit organizations (~10%). Donations beyond the budget are made through pre-approved designated giving funds or to individual line items from the budget; such donations may add another 10-50% above General Fund Giving.

For those less likely to use cash or checks, we have added the ability to make donations online through VANCO and their GIVEPLUS app. There are fees for using the app and additional fees for using the Credit/Debit Card option. You can help defray those cost by adding that amount to the donation (check box option). Using the ACH option is our preferred method since there are not additional fees beyond the standard transaction fees.
