We are steadily moving toward ministries of social concern at East Goshen Mennonite Church. Increasingly, ministries such as our Food Pantry, Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network and many other attempts to meet physical needs in our community have received our money, time and attention. We believe that our challenge for the future is to support these social ministries also with prayer, evangelism and a dependence on the Holy Spirit.

In Our Congregation

Youth Ministries

Mission: Each youth, with the help of the church, will seek to develop a meaningful and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as understood in an Anabaptist Mennonite perspective. Our congregation will create an atmosphere that invites our youth to actively participate in the life of the church, to willingly serve and relate in our community and world, and to live wholesomeness and grace-filled lives.
INTER GENERATIONAL Connections:

An important part of our youth ministry efforts are the various ways that our youth interact with the entire congregation. Some of these ways have included:

  • Participation and involvement in Sunday morning worship.
  • A mentor/mentee relationship that continues through their youth years.
  • Activities with adults where faith stories are shared.
  • Youth helping to lead children’s ministry activities.
  • Visiting homes of older adults in the congregation.

Adult Ministries

Adult Sunday school

All ages of adults have opportunities to meet together to share prayer concerns, study and encourage each other.

People in need from the Goshen community come every Tuesday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, into the southwest entry of the church building to receive assistance with non-perishable food items, bread, essential household supplies, and personal hygiene items.
