Annual church retreat focusing on the theme of Renewing Our Joy. Ruben and Idella Chupp, who are offering our input for the weekend, will bring the message, which is inspired by Philippians 1:3-6 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24.
As we celebrate World Communion Sunday, we worship God who unites us across denominations, nationalities, languages, traditions, and customs. When we gather at the table of Christ Jesus, we do so with people throughout the word, to share in this holy meal and learn of God’s expansive love.
The different parts of trees (roots, trunks, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits) can help us imagine different aspects of our spiritual lives: • embedding ourselves in God’s story, • growing through nurture and struggle, • celebrating our unique spiritual journey, receiving and responding to the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, • and sharing with others. As a whole, these create an ecology of prayer, a spiritual habitat or home
